Great story about a food lover who learned in the restaurants because he ultimately wanted to create a charitable food business. The restaurants he opens, sort of pop up style, contribute a significant amount of their proceeds to food related charities. Can’t wait to try it next time I’m in the bay area.

Jason Kottke wrote about this man making an Enzo Mari EFFE table from Ikea Ivar Shelving. The next day I was looking through Core77’s gift guide and saw this book that Mari wrote detailing how to make furniture using rough boards and nails.
